We’re still talking about the biggest surprise of this year’s event – the dual release of new GMT models from both Rolex and its sister company Tudor. So, we asked David Duggan for his thoughts on why the GMT continues to make waves and what he makes of these new offerings.
The pre-owned Rolex Cosmograph model 6265 has the white dial steel case and is supplied with a year warranty. The Cosmograph was originally designed in 1963 with attention to detail such as a highly reliable chronograph and bezel with tachymetric scale – it was structured in order to meet the demands of racing drivers. The nature of this model allows drivers to measure their speeds up to 400 kilometres/miles per hour, consequently this model has become an iconic time piece among the motoring world.

This year’s Baselworld exhibition was a little different from its predecessors, but that certainly didn’t stop the big names pulling out some showstoppers. One to Watch spoke to David to find out what caught his eye at this year’s event.
We have noticed a particular decline in the past 20 years in the popularity of angular, square-faced and rectangular models. But, rarity drives price and the good news is that from Rolex to Patek, these timepieces demand a fraction of the price of their circular counterparts.
