Today, all Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces except the Calibre 101 and the Atmos undergo the “1,000 hours test”. This test, however, originated with the Master Control line, born in 1992 with the goal of improving reliability and accuracy by subjecting every completed watch to a battery of six tests lasting 1,000 hours, or nearly six weeks.
