Henry Graves Supercomplication by Patek Philippe is regarded as the most important watch in the world. The Patek Philippe Supercomplication pocket watch has been sold for 20.6 million pounds at the Sotheby’s auction in Geneva on the 11th November 2014.


The Journey of the watch:

It took Henry Grave over five years to complete the Supercomplication model, Swiss horologists was first commissioned to designed the masterpiece in 1925 and the model was completed in 1932. Finally the Supercomplication No. 198.385, Case No. 416.769 has been delivered on 19th January 1933.

The masterpiece has been held in the Rockford Time Museum until it was sold at Sotheby’s for record breaking price. The new owner is known to be a member of the Qatari Royal Family, Sheikh Saud bin Muhammed Al Thani.
