In the first of a One to Watch series looking at what got everyone talking at Baselworld, David Duggan shares his top Rolex picks from this year’s fair.
SELL YOUR WATCH
As well as being one of London Mayfair’s pre-eminent watch sellers, David Duggan has more than forty years’ experience of buying pre-owned, luxury timepieces. So much so in fact, that around 90% of the watches sold by David Duggan are purchased from members of the Public.
We track the market closely and always base our offers on auction prices.
That means you could earn the same amount as at auction without paying any commission or waiting for the five months that it usually takes to receive auction payment.
David began his career selling pocket watches in the 1970s. He quickly fell in love with luxury wristwatches and set up his own business in 1983. Today, he heads up an expert team that combines more than 150 years’ experience in horology.
We have worked with some of the most prestigious names in the business and today pride ourselves on being an independent, unbiased watch broker, buying and selling all the top marques, including Patek Philippe, Rolex and Jaeger LeCoultre.
We specialise in pre-owned timepieces of the highest quality and pride ourselves on our fair prices and candid advice.
We’re passionate about watches, which is why, when you bring your watch to us, we will take as much care of it as you have.
Every watch we buy undergoes a full service and valet.
Before you visit the David Duggan showroom, it’s worth thinking about the following things:
Do you have the watch’s original box?
Do you have all the relevant documentation? A watch’s guarantee can add as much as 20% to its value.
When you do visit, be sure to bring your passport and driver’s license. We need this in order to verify that the sale is legitimate.
If you think your watch might be particularly valuable, then we will always recommend that you get two opinions – one from a reputable dealer like David Duggan and one from an auction house.
This gives you peace of mind and ensures that you get the best possible price.
